	RUSH FAQ How many Brothers in the Chapter? Currently there are 110 brothers in our chapter. How many Brothers live in the House? 46 brothers live in the house. Where is the Chapter House? The chapter house is located at 200 E. High St. at the corner of Campus and High Street. My parents said, “No fraternities.” Beta believes in recruiting based on principles and values. We are not the stereotypical “Frat,” we are a fraternity. The recruitment chairman would love to speak with your parents about their concerns with fraternities. I’m afraid my grades will fall. Beta Theta Pi is focused on academic excellence; it is what we were founded on. We require each member to have a 2.5 cumulative GPA. Since the chapters refounding in 1999 we have been ranked number one in grades almost every semester. What leadership opportunities are available? The General Fraternity offers numerous paid summer leadership opportunities along with a number of leadership positions available within the chapter. What scholarship opportunities are available? Beta Theta Pi Fraternity awards more scholarships than any other fraternity on Miami’s campus. The Alpha Chapter awards two $500 scholarship, applications are available on our website. Do you Haze? We absolutely do not haze. We believe in building men up, not breaking them down. What types of social events do you hold? We hold various social events such as grab-a-dates, parties with sororities and fraternities, a fall semi-formal and a spring formal, and numerous brotherhood events throughout each semester. Is Beta really a dry house? Beta Theta Pi has an alcohol and substance free house; we are not a dry fraternity. We believe that a dry house has far more benefits than negatives. How does Beta stand amongst other fraternities? Beta has thrived amongst the fraternities of Miami winning the top chapter award 4 out of the past 5 years. The Alpha Chapter is a leading force for fraternities on campus and for Beta nationally, winning the fraternities top chapter award an unprecedented five times in a row. How long is pledging?
